The Idea
LinkedIn is a great place to connect, but also full of recruiter sharks and spam. People are on their edge, and rightfully so. To make this work you’ll need to actually open a conversation, talk about the prospect’s business and not go for the sale. Once you’re “friends”, getting their honest opinion on your product/service should be easy and if they’re not interested, they may recommend you to friends. Spamming rarely works, so take the time to do it right.
